Apple's newsroom post on 27 October 2026 says Apple Creator Studio updates will be a free App Store update for existing subscribers this November. For subscribers, Keynote, Pages, and Numbers get an intelligent assistant in beta, built on Apple models and OpenAI, that understands the document. Apple says the Keynote assistant helps design, animate, and refine slides. Pages drafts, restructures, and fine-tunes written content. Numbers calculates, visualizes, and organizes data, recommends chart types with a one-tap preview, and builds custom tables using world knowledge. Apple's footnote says that assistant needs an Apple Intelligence-capable device on iOS 27, iPadOS 27, or macOS 27 or later, and is available in U.S. English only.
The same post says Model Context Protocol support lets external AI agents and tools read content, edit, and run automated actions in Keynote, Pages, and Numbers. That support requires macOS 27 or later. The November update also adds Generate Fill in Pixelmator Pro: circle an area, or use an existing selection, and describe the change. Apple says the fill matches lighting, perspective, and texture, and Super Resolution upscales the generated content. A result can merge into a layer or land as a new layer with a mask. Logic Pro for Mac gets a separate assistant in beta, powered by Apple-built and third-party models, for navigating a production workflow, starting a song, setting up a vocal track from a prompt, or refining a project. That assistant requires macOS 27 Golden Gate or later on an Apple Intelligence-capable Mac, and is U.S. English only. Free versions of Keynote, Pages, and Numbers stay available. The new assistants in the post are described for subscribers.
Who it's for: an Apple Creator Studio subscriber who writes or lays out work in Pages, Keynote, or Numbers, or who edits images in Pixelmator Pro, once the November update is installed.
Fits: Best for Writing stays Claude. The Pages assistant is a beta inside Apple's apps, in U.S. English, for subscribers. Best for Images stays Midjourney, and Adobe Firefly stays the ranked generative fill. Pixelmator Generate Fill is not on that list. The verdicts are unchanged.
