Anthropic published Claude Code 2.1.304 on 19 October 2026. Code Review gains levels: owners choose Quick, Standard, or Deep for the organization. Standard is the default. A repository can have its own level. Admins can also turn review on for every repository in a GitHub organization, including repositories added later, without picking them one by one.

/auto-mode-setup is a guided setup that reads the project and recent sessions to teach auto mode about the environment. This release makes that command available on Bedrock, Vertex, Foundry, the Claude apps gateway, and telemetry-disabled sessions. On Pro and Max plans, resuming an inactive conversation warns when that resume would use a noticeable share of the 5-hour limit. You can resume anyway, or start a new conversation and refer back to the previous one.

Who it's for: teams already running Claude Code, especially anyone using Code Review on GitHub or auto mode off the default Anthropic API.

Fits: Best for Vibe Coding. Claude Code stays second, for jobs you hand off from a terminal. The in-editor pick is still Cursor.
