Runway App Studio builds a creative app from a prompt
Paid Runway plans can describe an app, and App Studio builds it on their models and Brand Kits.

Runway's post on 26 October 2026 says it launched App Studio. You describe the tool you need in plain language, and App Studio builds a custom app with its own interface that generates images, video, and audio using your Brand Kits and Workflows. You can use it yourself, share it with your team, or publish a link anyone with a Runway account can use.
The launch set includes Character Swap, AutoComp, Product Portfolio, 3D Camera Control, Precise Edit, and Runway Pro. You can remix those, or turn an existing Agent session or Workflow into an app in one click, locking the prompt, model chain, and settings behind a simpler interface. Apps can use Runway's image, video, and audio models along with Brand Kits, Workflows, Assets, and References. They follow the same model controls as the rest of the account. If a model is disabled in the admin panel, it is disabled in every app.
Every app stays private until the creator shares it. Team and Enterprise customers can share with specific teammates, a project, or the workspace. Paid plans can publish a public link. A visitor signs in with a Runway account and spends their own credits. Free users can use built-in apps and apps shared with them, and need a paid plan to build their own. App Studio is included in every paid plan, with no separate add-on. Building, running, and hosting draw from the existing credit balance. Enterprise admins can turn App Studio off for a workspace, decide whether public links are allowed, and require sign-in on every Enterprise app link.
Who it's for: a paid Runway team that wants a repeatable creative workflow handed to people who should not rebuild the prompt.
Fits: Best for Video. Runway stays first because of camera control, inpainting, and a workflow that resembles editing. App Studio packages those models into apps. It does not lengthen a clip or settle consistency. The verdict is unchanged.
