Brandmark vs Looka

Which AI tool should I use? Three questions, then a pick from the ranked lists.

Brandmark and Looka are both logo makers that generate a mark so you do not start from an empty artboard. The difference is what you are buying and when. Looka is organized as a logo plus the files a new brand immediately asks for: vectors, color versions, cards, social images. Brandmark is organized as a generated icon, with hand-made fonts in the mix, and a pricing page that is a one-time purchase rather than a subscription table. On Best for Logo Design Looka is first and Brandmark is third. LOGO.com is second, and it is the one with a free account on the pricing page. Canva is fourth, for editing.
The verdict: open Looka (opens in a new tab) when the logo and the files around it are the job. Open Brandmark (opens in a new tab) when you want a generated icon and files you pay for once. Neither has a price recorded on this site. Do not invent one from a package name.
Looka against the free-account generator is Looka vs LOGO.com. Brandmark against that generator is Brandmark vs LOGO.com.
Looka, the kit
Looka is first. You enter a company name and industry, choose styles, colors, and symbols, and edit the marks it generates. The logo maker page describes vector files, color variations, cards, and social templates as the download package, and it says a guest can start. It also says the maker is free, in the way a marketing page says it, and then describes post-purchase changes and downloaded files you own. The pricing page sells a brand kit subscription and one-time logo packages. There is no free plan on that page, so this site stores no price label. The first rank is not "the cheapest." It is the product that matches a logo job a non-designer can recognize: a mark, then the files.
Use Looka when you know you will need more than a symbol on a transparent background. A card, a social avatar, a black version, an SVG. The page is written for that pile. Leave it when you do not want a subscription conversation at all. Brandmark's pricing page says there are no monthly charges and that you pay once. That sentence is a real difference even though this guide will not copy the package prices. Leave Looka when the logo is mostly type you will keep moving on a template. Canva's editor is the rank for that mood.
The logo maker is looka.com/logo-maker (opens in a new tab). The pricing page is looka.com/pricing (opens in a new tab). Read the package list there if you are about to pay. This page will be stale the hour those prices move, which is why they are not here.
Brandmark, the icon you pay for once
Brandmark is third. The homepage says it creates a unique logo, mixes generative AI with hand-crafted fonts and templates, and exports SVG, PNG, and PDF. It says you can generate unlimited logos for free, try it with no account, and pay once for access to the branding tools, with full copyright on the commercial use and revisions after purchase. The pricing page, brandmark.io/pricing (opens in a new tab), is one-time packages: logo files, and larger bundles with source files, guidelines, cards, and social designs. There is no free tier on that page. The homepage's "generate for free" and the pricing page's "pay once" are both true, and they answer different moments. Seeing options is not downloading the vector.
The third rank is honest about that shape. Brandmark is not a worse Looka. It is the tool when you want an icon, you are willing to pay a single time, and you do not want the product to become a website bundle. Looka's kit is broader in the way the first rank describes. Brandmark's constraint is cleaner if you hate subscriptions. Neither constraint is "I will edit this every week inside a design tool." That is Canva, fourth, whose logo page calls the maker free and does not have a free tier recorded here because the pricing page was not available to check.
Brandmark's site is brandmark.io (opens in a new tab). Use it when the icon is the logo and the invoice should happen once. Leave it when you wanted the guest flow and the specific file list Looka writes down: EPS, cards, social crops, a font-and-color sheet. Leave it when you need a free account that saves the work before any purchase. That account is LOGO.com's free column, not this pair.
The account in the middle
LOGO.com is second because the pricing page shows a Free column that can create, save, and edit, with PNG-only color files on that column and the fuller set on the paid ones. If you are comparing Brandmark and Looka because both want money for files, LOGO.com is the row that lets you be inside a saved design first. It will also push a website. Ignore that if the mark is the only deliverable. Canva remains the editor. Best for Images remains the picture list. Do not ask Midjourney for a logo package. It is not on this list, and the image rank says it is not a production asset pipeline.
Which sentence you are in
"The mark and the files around it" is Looka. "An icon, generate first, pay once" is Brandmark. "A free account that saves edits" is LOGO.com. "I will keep moving the shapes myself" is Canva. The list is Best for Logo Design.
