Google Deep Review checks technical documents

A public agent that reviews papers, design docs, and other long documents, with two free reviews a week.

Google Research announced the public release of Deep Review on 14 October 2026. The post describes an agentic system for rigorous feedback and technical verification of complex documents, from papers to legal, finance, design docs, and presentations. It grew out of the Paper Assistant Tool, which gave private pre-submission feedback on more than 16,000 opted-in manuscripts at STOC 2026, ICML 2026, NeurIPS 2026, and ICLR 2027. That feedback was decoupled from official conference review, and papers were deleted after each pilot.

Worldwide, every user gets two complimentary reviews a week. Higher limits and a Deep Review API are available by connecting a Gemini API key. Inputs start as PDF and plain text, with multi-file support coming soon. Google says uploaded documents are not used to train its models and are stored for one year so they can be shown in the Deep Review UI. The pipeline has four stages: segmentation, adaptive budgeting, parallel verification, and global synthesis with grounding. Gemini 4 Argon support is included. Antigravity users can run a related Teamwork Deep Document Review Pattern with /teamwork-preview.

Who it's for: people who need a structured check of a document they already wrote, not a search over the web.

Fits: Best for Research. It reviews one document. It does not replace a notebook of your sources or a cited web answer.
