ElevenLabs' post on 29 October 2026 introduces SFX v3, its sound-effects model. ElevenLabs says it follows prompts that describe several sounds more reliably, generates music and vocals more convincingly, and produces cleaner, more natural audio than SFX v2 in its benchmark testing. The examples it gives for fewer harsh artifacts are gongs, chimes, and whistles.
In ElevenCreative, SFX v3 is in Flows, the Sound Effects tab, Studio, and the Music Editor. It is also in the ElevenLabs mobile app. Developers can call it through ElevenAPI.
Who it's for: someone building a scene's sound from a text prompt, in ElevenCreative or from their own product through the API.
Fits: Best for Video stays Runway for a shot you would cut. Pika stays the social clip. SFX v3 is sound, not a picture. The video guide and the Pika alternatives are unchanged. The verdict is unchanged.
