Tencent releases Hy4 with vision and computer use

Tencent's newsroom post on 4 November 2026 announces Tencent Hy4, its latest large language model. Tencent says this release adds visual understanding for the first time, including fine-grained image work, chart analysis, and visual math, and adds computer use for the first time, so the model can work through a command line or a graphical interface. Tencent says it trained Hy4 on professional software such as Blender and CAD for longer tasks. Tencent Hy plans to release the weights and system cards in the coming days. Until those files are posted, Hy4 is a hosted model.

Tencent says Hy4 is available on Tencent Cloud TokenHub, WorkBuddy, CodeBuddy, Yuanbao, WeCom's AI Assistant (Dayuan), and ima, and that the API is also being offered on OpenRouter, Hermes, and OpenCode. The Hy API guide (opens in a new tab), updated the same day, lists the model id hy4 with a 1 million token context window, 960,000 tokens of input, and 64,000 tokens of output. That guide says hy4 accepts OpenAI Chat Completions, OpenAI Responses, and Anthropic Messages requests. Tencent says the price is unchanged from Hy4 Preview: approximately US$0.90 per million input tokens, US$2.70 per million output tokens, and US$0.045 per million cached input tokens. From 4 November through 15 November, WorkBuddy and CodeBuddy are free. Hy4 is half price on Tencent Cloud TokenHub through 31 December 2026. Tencent says Hy4 Flash is scheduled for release soon.
